When presenting, clearly tell the audience what you want them to do
We've all heard many people tell you how to make briefing speeches, such as not to press a slide book, not to use too many slides to pressure the audience, to keep eye contact with the audience, and so on.
However, it is not enough to give you the necessary support to a decision-making audience who is eager for you to give them excellent reports and rich information or important abstracts. You have to tell them what you want them to do after the briefing?
For example, you want the company to set up a project team, or you want the company to approve a budget. You have to be clear, not wait for them to think about what to do.
And you have to let them know that you need to get a response time frame.
Even if they reject it or feel they need more information to make decisions, you have clear feedback, rather than waiting for it after the briefing.
