Use keywords on the subject line of mail
When
you send an email, the recipient first read the subject line, so you should
make sure to write it as clearly as possible: What
is the purpose of your email? What do you want the recipient to do? Use
keywords on the subject line. For example:
- Reference: only reference materials are provided.
- Please approve: Ask for permission or approval by the receipint.
- Please take action: Ask the recipient to follow instructions.
These
divisions may look strong and have unnecessary exclamation, but they will make
your email clear in the recipient's inbox. Therefore, if you need to sort out
the sent e-mails, you can also
distinguish them from: Reference、Please approve 、Please take action.
If
you need your manager to grant your leave request, you can write it.as: “Please permit my leave.”
Using
these keywords will also motivate you to think about what you really want to
get from someone, or to avoid the confusion of the mail they receive.
